DMR has announced today the appointment of it’s two new directors, Peter and Ingrid Smith.
Derek Bennion, founder of DMR made the decision earlier this year to retire. He has expanded the business and range of services over the last 13 years. After making the decision to retire Derek spent time ensuring that DMR and its future would be left in capable hands.
Peter and Ingrid Smith of Lane End Chilled will take up the appointment of Directors as of Monday 2 July 2018. Lane End Chilled are based in Newport, South Wales and have been working closely with DMR for over three years.
Derek Bennion, founder of DMR commented ‘developing DMR has been a terrific experience, not just in the business growth but in becoming a trusted partner for many involved with us. That’s come as a result of the efforts of many people over the years, many thanks to all of them. Now it’s time for DMR to develop further and, having worked with Ingrid & Peter over the last 3 years, I cannot think of anyone better to take on this challenge’.
Peter Smith, founder of Lane End Chilled commented ‘the acquisition of DMR provides a major growth opportunity for both our businesses through an extended service offering for our clients. The joined-up working will enable a greater coverage across the UK which can only be good news. There will be more opportunities available to distribute products with an increased focus on thermo logistics. It will be business as usual at DMR with the continuity of excellent service from our dedicated team.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Derek for all his hard work and wish him a happy retirement with plenty of time on his hands to complete his bucket list!’
